About the Role

Pladis Global is seeking a Head of Regulatory Affairs MENAI to join their team. This full-time position is based in Makkah, with operations in Jeddah and Makkah. The role involves defining and deploying regulatory strategies, leading compliance governance, and engaging with external stakeholders across the MENAI region.

Regulatory Leadership and Market Enablement

The Head of Regulatory Affairs will be responsible for establishing and implementing regulatory strategies that align with business priorities. This includes leading and developing high-performing regulatory teams and acting as a senior advisor across various functions to ensure consistent regulatory frameworks are in place.

Compliance Governance and Reporting

• Translate regulatory requirements and intelligence into clear, strategic business recommendations.
• Design and implement a structured compliance reporting framework, including KPIs, dashboards, and risk metrics.
• Establish governance, escalation processes, and visibility for regulatory risks.
• Drive standardization of tools and processes for compliance.
• Lead compliance reviews and reporting activities.
• Embed a culture of accountability and transparency within the regulatory function.

External Engagement and Influence

• Lead representation in trade associations and regulatory forums.
• Build strong external networks with relevant stakeholders.
• Drive industry positions and advocacy strategies.
• Influence regulatory developments to support business objectives.

Cross-functional Integration and Business Enablement

• Ensure alignment across global and regional teams regarding regulatory matters.
• Embed regulatory input early in the innovation process.
• Enable compliant market entry for new products and services.
• Balance regulatory risk with commercial objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in regulatory affairs. The position requires a professional who can effectively manage complex regulatory landscapes and lead teams in a dynamic environment.
