Purpose of the Role

This position bridges the gap between high-level strategy and daily execution. The Junior Business Analyst will capture the logic behind decisions and ensure the project's memory is preserved in writing. The aim is to provide clarity that allows large-scale projects to stay on track without constant re-explanation, preventing important details from being lost in a busy project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend remote meetings and working sessions to capture core decisions, open questions, and specific owners for each action item.
• Draft concise summary notes that translate technical or strategic jargon into plain English for the project team.
• Monitor project timelines to ensure handoffs between different departments are clearly defined and understood by all parties.
• Maintain a central, written record of project progress so that any team member can quickly understand the current status without needing a meeting.
• Help identify where management habits, such as recurring meeting formats or reporting styles, might be slowing down the work.
• Update internal documentation to reflect changes in project scope or priority as they are agreed upon by leadership.
• Assist the senior advisory team by gathering basic data points and organizing them into simple, readable reports.

Candidate Requirements

• A strong ability to write clearly and concisely, capable of summarizing complex conversations effectively.
• High attention to detail, noticing unrecorded deadlines or tasks lacking clear ownership.
• Comfort with remote communication tools and the discipline to manage one's own schedule in a fully remote environment.
• A calm approach to changing priorities, able to adjust records without becoming overwhelmed.
• Curiosity about how businesses function, including internal mechanics like meetings, emails, and reports.
• The ability to listen carefully to what is being said and, importantly, what is implied or left unaddressed in a discussion.

Helpful Background
