The Role of Laundry Runner

Shangri-La Group is seeking a dedicated Laundry Runner to join its team in Makkah, serving the Jeddah and Makkah regions. This full-time position involves comprehensive handling of all linen, uniform, and guest laundry operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the linen room and ensuring familiarity with all relevant equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Report for duty in full attire, ensuring a smart, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• Accurately sign-in when commencing duty and sign-out upon completion.
• Prepare daily production forms as required.
• Conduct routine checks of the work area for preparation.
• Verify that all equipment is in good working condition.
• Clean and tidy the work area before concluding the shift.
• Shut down steam pipes (where applicable), switches, and the main panel during the last shift.
• Handover dirty uniforms to the Linen Room.
• Adhere to environmental best practices, including reducing waste, recycling when possible, and reusing whenever applicable.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in laundry operations within a hotel of at least 200 rooms, or in a large commercial laundry setting.
• Willingness to work extended duty hours as operational needs dictate.

Work Environment and Commitment

This full-time role is based in Makkah, with responsibilities covering the Jeddah and Makkah areas. The position requires a commitment to operational excellence and flexibility to accommodate extended duty hours to support the hotel's service standards.
