About the Role

Kaizen Firm, a leading industrial organization, is seeking a Logistics Buyer to support logistics, warehouse, maintenance, and operational activities. This full-time position is based in Makkah, with operations spanning Jeddah and Makkah. The role focuses on the effective procurement of consumables, maintenance materials, engineering spares, tools, and operational supplies to ensure timely availability of critical materials, maintain cost competitiveness, and foster strong supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure logistics consumables, engineering spares, maintenance materials, tools, PPE, warehouse supplies, and operational equipment.
  • Obtain quotations, conduct commercial evaluations, and support supplier selection processes.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders in accordance with company procedures and approval processes.
  • Ensure purchased materials meet required specifications, quality standards, and delivery requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with local and international suppliers, monitoring their performance in terms of quality, delivery, responsiveness, pricing, and service levels.
  • Support negotiations to improve pricing, lead times, payment terms, and overall service, while identifying and evaluating potential new suppliers.
  • Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, maintenance, engineering, and operational teams to understand material requirements and priorities.
  • Ensure the availability of critical consumables and engineering spares to minimize operational disruptions and equipment downtime.
  • Support urgent procurement activities during equipment breakdowns or operational emergencies.
  • Assist in monitoring stock levels, consumption patterns, and replenishment requirements for consumables and engineering spares.
  • Identify opportunities for inventory optimization, cost reduction, and standardization initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, purchase orders, and ERP system updates.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement reports and purchasing documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Operational Support and Improvement

The Logistics Buyer will work closely with various departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and support operational continuity. This includes coordinating with relevant teams and contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of logistics and procurement processes. The role also involves supporting the implementation of new procurement systems and participating in cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing overall operational performance and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in a procurement or logistics buying role, preferably within an industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices and supply chain principles.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for cost control and inventory optimization.
