About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Preventative Room Maintenance to join our team in Makkah. This full-time position is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance across guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces. The role ensures all necessary hardware and appliances are present and in excellent working order, maintaining the cleanliness and repair of guest rooms according to property standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms (CARE, RPM, GCPM), meeting rooms, and public spaces.
• Ensure all necessary hardware and appliances are present and fully functional.
• Maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms in accordance with property room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.
• Perform general cleaning of all guestroom surfaces including tubs, wall tiles, hard floors, walls, windows, and mirrors.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to reach common goals.

Maintenance and Repair Duties

• Flip and inspect mattresses and box springs, and assemble bed frames.
• Vacuum behind and underneath furniture; spot clean carpets and upholstery.
• Dust surfaces and perform touch-up painting and furniture touch-up.
• Replace light fixtures and inspect and repair grout and caulking.
• Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.

Safety and Operational Compliance

• Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager or supervisor.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Willingness to assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Less than 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
