Metrology / CMM Programmers

About the Role

Trigo is seeking a Metrology / CMM Programmer to join its automotive activities team. This full-time position is based in Makkah, specifically in Jeddah or Makkah cities, and involves developing, optimizing, maintaining, and revising dimensional measurement programs. The role requires strong practical experience in CMM programming and dimensional inspection.

Role Overview

The Metrology / CMM Programmer will be responsible for creating and managing measurement programs based on CAD data, engineering drawings, and inspection plans. This involves hands-on work with CMM programming, ensuring accuracy and reliability of measurement routines, and supporting various stages of production from launch to serial inspection. Candidates should have 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, prove-out, optimize, maintain, and revise CMM / dimensional measurement programs using CAD models, drawings, and inspection plans.
• Perform online and offline CMM programming, adapting to equipment and software configurations.
• Execute measurement routines and validate dimensional results accurately.
• Prepare and issue detailed inspection reports.
• Conduct CAD-to-measurement comparisons and analyze dimensional deviations.
• Support first-off inspection, launch activities, troubleshooting, and serial production inspection processes.
• Support CMM program correlation to ensure consistency across different machines, programs, or measurement environments.
• Improve the repeatability and reproducibility of measurement routines.
• Optimize measurement strategies to enhance accuracy, reliability, and cycle time.
• Identify and support the reduction of inspection bottlenecks.
• Support dimensional issue investigation in collaboration with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Dimensional teams.
• Maintain and update measurement programs following product, process, tooling, or engineering changes.
• Ensure measurement routines and inspection methods comply with drawing, GD&T, and customer requirements.

Required Experience and Skills

• 0-1 years of experience in CMM programming and dimensional inspection.
• Strong hands-on experience in CMM programming.
• Proficiency in dimensional inspection and measurement strategy.
• Ability to perform CAD-to-measurement comparison effectively.
