About the Product Specialist - Hematology Role

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Product Specialist - Hematology to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position focuses on representing our hematology products to healthcare professionals, ensuring their appropriate use based on clinical indications and company values.

Purpose of the Position

The primary objective of the Product Specialist is to engage with healthcare professionals to promote registered products within their approved clinical indications. This role aims to increase product access by effectively communicating the value of our offerings to serve more eligible patients, all while adhering to Johnson & Johnson's Credo obligations and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize patient share for assigned products by understanding patient pathways and ensuring sales processes comply with J&J compliance, quality guidelines, and local laws.
  • Utilize a multichannel approach (face-to-face, email, phone, presentations) to engage with healthcare professionals, meeting quality and quantity targets aligned with the company strategy.
  • Achieve market share targets within the assigned territory.
  • Promote J&J Innovative Medicine's image as a scientific and digital innovator within assigned accounts and organize promotional scientific meetings.
  • Conduct comprehensive account mapping to understand logistical processes, product listing, contracting, stakeholder identification, and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders, including Directors of Pharmacy, Senior Procurement Managers, Tender Managers, and Hospital Management.
  • Identify short and long-term business opportunities in collaboration with the Market Access team, aligned with the Business Unit strategy.
  • Ensure execution excellence by fulfilling Customer Interaction Excellence (CIE) index and KPIs, including database updates, accurate visit reporting with valuable feedback, and proper sample handling.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of disease areas, products, and competitors through scientific quizzes, assigned training courses, and continuous improvement in technical and ethical business practices.
  • Organize assigned activities in compliance with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and use the designated CRM system.
  • Adhere strictly to all J&J guidelines, policies, and SOPs, including local laws, Healthcare Body Interaction (HCBI) guidelines, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and the Policy of Business Conduct.
  • Comply with Pharmacovigilance rules, promptly notifying company regulations about Adverse Events and Product Quality Complaints.
  • Uphold quality and compliance practices and adhere to Global fleet safety standard requirements and local traffic laws.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
  • Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated self-discipline and a result-oriented approach.
  • Awareness of factors affecting territory and account performance, with the ability to report relevant business information.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to act on business opportunities using analytical skills and disciplined execution.
