Relationship Manager Corporate Banking

About the Role

Bank Albilad is seeking a Relationship Manager for Corporate Banking to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on identifying and enhancing business opportunities for the Corporate Banking Department. The position involves prudent recommendation of lending proposals and promotion of the bank’s services in liaison with other departments to expand market share and acquire new clients.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain customer relationships within a predefined allocated domain and explore business potential from these clients. The objective is to provide financial and reputational benefits to Bank Albilad by expanding its corporate banking portfolio and ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective large Corporate clients to maximize revenue potential.
• Identify and establish new relationships consistent with the bank’s business objectives.
• Cross-sell Bank Albilad products and services applicable to large Corporate clients.
• Ensure regular client contact through calls and meetings to identify transaction opportunities, assess performance trends, mitigate client risks, and maintain a high level of customer service.
• Facilitate and address customer requests in a timely manner.
• Evaluate key credit proposals, scrutinize documents, and conduct telephone verification within defined credit policies to ensure quality credit underwriting and documentation.
• Conduct thorough scrutiny of submitted documents to ensure completeness and adherence to approved documentation policy, highlighting discrepancies within agreed turnaround times.
• Negotiate with customers to deliver favorable financial terms for the bank while maintaining market competitiveness.
• Increase the share of fee income.
• Ensure that initial reviews, annual reviews, interim reviews, and all credit proposals meet high standards and are completed promptly.
• Ensure that facilities provided by the bank are relevant and match clients’ business needs.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in corporate banking or a similar financial services environment. The position requires a strong understanding of lending proposals, credit policies, and relationship management within the corporate sector.
