About the Role

Al-Enjaz Company is seeking a dedicated Safety Engineer to join our team in Makkah. This full-time position is essential for maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices across our operational sites.

Role Objective

The primary objective of this role is to develop, implement, and continuously monitor Occupational Safety and Health (HSE) policies and procedures within various work environments, including project sites, workshops, and offices. The Safety Engineer will ensure a safe, injury-free, and hazard-free workplace, while guaranteeing full compliance with all relevant local and international regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the consistent implementation and application of occupational safety and health standards and environmental protection rules.
• Conduct periodic Risk Assessments at work sites, identify potential hazards, and formulate proactive plans for their mitigation.
• Perform regular field inspections to ensure workers adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and follow safe operational procedures.
• Lead investigations into accidents, injuries, or Near Misses, determine root causes, and submit detailed reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Provide awareness and training programs, such as ToolBox Talks, to enhance safety consciousness among employees.
• Participate in the development of emergency response and site evacuation plans, and ensure the readiness of safety equipment, fire fighting apparatus, and first aid supplies.
• Prepare periodic reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) detailing performance indicators and safety violations for submission to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 2-4 years of work experience in occupational safety and health, preferably within the contracting, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.

Preferred Certifications

• OSHA certification.
• NEBOSH certification.
• IOSH certification.
