Storekeeper

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Storekeeper to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position involves managing the receipt, organization, and distribution of goods within the facility. The role requires a professional who can ensure efficient inventory management and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and organize goods by department, ensuring correct warehouse placement and timely delivery to relevant departments.
• Stack received goods on pallets or trolleys and complete order forms for inventory and supply purposes.
• Notify management promptly in case of stock depletion.
• Receive deliveries, properly store perishables, and organize stock rotation.
• Verify freshness, cleanliness, conformity, and quality of batches upon delivery, refusing damaged, non-compliant, or incorrect items.
• Comply with sanitary rules and handling procedures in all food-related areas.
• Organize, clean, and disinfect refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment, and pipes.
• Remove empty pallets, cartons, and waste, placing them in appropriate storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, and dangerous working conditions to the manager; follow training and obtain required safety certifications.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintain a clean and complete work uniform, and uphold a professional appearance.
• Use clear, courteous, and professional language with customers and colleagues, fostering positive professional relationships.
• Comply with quality requirements and standards.
• Perform all other tasks as requested by managers that correspond to the position.

Physical Requirements

The role requires physical capabilities including the ability to extend, bend, turn, pull, and flex. Candidates must be able to grasp, rotate, and handle loads, as well as climb and descend stairs and/or service access. The position involves moving, lifting, or carrying loads weighing up to 23 kilograms and requires comfort with working standing, sitting, and being in motion for extended periods.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None.
