Bupa Arabia is seeking a Trainee Research & Innovation (Coop/Tamheer) to join its team. This full-time position is based in Jeddah or Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to the organization's strategic transformation and innovation initiatives within the healthcare sector.

Role Overview and Contribution

The Trainee Research & Innovation will support Bupa Arabia's transformation and innovation agenda by conducting comprehensive research into the healthcare and technology marketplace. This involves benchmarking relevant products and practices, then translating these findings into clear, actionable reports. The role is critical in identifying emerging trends, evaluating potential solutions and competitors, and providing evidence-based insights to help stakeholders assess opportunities, understand market position, and make informed business and technology decisions.

Market Intelligence and Benchmarking

  • Research healthcare, digital-health, and technology markets using credible internal and external sources.
  • Track market developments, customer needs, competitor activities, regulatory changes, and emerging business models.
  • Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities relevant to the organization’s strategic priorities.
  • Benchmark products, capabilities, customer journeys, operating models, and best practices against local and global peers.
  • Develop structured comparison criteria covering features, value, maturity, experience, feasibility, and differentiation.

Technology Scouting and Assessment

  • Monitor emerging technologies, platforms, vendors, and use cases with potential business or customer value.
  • Assess technology relevance, maturity, integration implications, scalability, associated risks, and organizational fit.

Insight Reporting and Stakeholder Support

  • Translate complex market and technology information into clear findings, implications, and practical recommendations.
  • Utilize accurate data, logical storylines, and appropriate visuals to communicate insights effectively.
  • Clarify research questions, objectives, and evaluation needs with business, product, technology, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Present findings, facilitate discussions, and respond to follow-up questions or additional analysis requests.

Research Quality and Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining organized research files, benchmark libraries, source records, templates, and reusable market intelligence. This includes verifying source credibility, data accuracy, consistency, and recency before sharing any findings. This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of relevant experience, ideally within a cooperative training or Tamheer program, who are eager to develop their skills in research and innovation.
