The Role: VAT / Tax Compliance Accountant (Saudization)

Reckitt is seeking a VAT / Tax Compliance Accountant for a full-time position in Jeddah or Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), Zakat, Corporate Tax, and Customs regulations for Reckitt KSA. The position also involves treasury support activities and distributor statement of account management, with adherence to stipulated Saudization directives by labor authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with ZATCA requirements.
• Review VAT treatment for sales, purchases, imports, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare WHT calculations, filings, and reconciliations.
• Support annual Zakat and Corporate Income Tax filings and tax audits.
• Manage tax account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules.
• Review customs duties, import VAT, and customs-related accounting entries.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and ZATCA authorities.
• Support treasury operations, including cash management, payments, bank reconciliations, and cash forecasting.
• Monitor distributor statements of accounts, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with Reckitt's internal controls and finance policies.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in VAT, tax, Zakat, and treasury compliance within a relevant financial environment. A strong understanding of ZATCA requirements and KSA tax regulations is essential. Experience with financial controls and cash flow management is also required.
