About the Role

Alrawaf Contracting is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Lead to manage its construction warehouse operations in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to ensuring the efficient, safe, and accurate handling of materials, tools, equipment, spare parts, and consumables. The objective is to maintain precise control over inventory, ensure timely material availability for projects, and minimize losses or unnecessary costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, inspection, storage, picking, issuing, and dispatching of materials.
  • Ensure all incoming materials are properly received, counted, identified, and recorded against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Oversee the appropriate storage of materials based on type, condition, size, and safety requirements, maintaining an efficient warehouse layout and identification systems.
  • Coordinate the movement of materials between the warehouse, project sites, and other company locations to support construction schedules.
  • Ensure materials are issued only against approved requisitions and maintain precise records for all material receipts, issues, transfers, and returns.
  • Report damaged, short, incorrect, or non-conforming materials promptly.

Inventory Management and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all construction materials, tools, equipment, spare parts, PPE, and consumables.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, excess, slow-moving, or obsolete items, and conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, ensuring adherence to FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable.
  • Prepare comprehensive inventory reports and stock reconciliation reports for management.
  • Ensure all warehouse documentation, including Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and Material Issue Notes (MIN), is accurately maintained and transactions are promptly updated in ERP or WMS systems.

Team Leadership and Coordination

  • Lead, supervise, and train warehouse staff, including storekeepers, helpers, and forklift operators, on warehouse procedures, material handling, and safety requirements.
  • Allocate daily tasks, monitor team performance, and foster discipline and teamwork within the warehouse.
  • Coordinate closely with Procurement regarding incoming deliveries, and with Project/Site teams regarding material requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with Finance on inventory valuation and reconciliation, and with Logistics for transportation and material movement.
  • Inform management of critical stock shortages, delivery delays, damaged materials, and inventory discrepancies.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure all warehouse activities strictly comply with company HSE policies and applicable KSA requirements.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and safe access within all warehouse areas.
  • Oversee the safe storage and handling of heavy, hazardous, flammable, or sensitive materials, and ensure proper use of PPE by all warehouse personnel.
  • Monitor the safe operation of forklifts, lifting equipment, and other material-handling tools.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, or damaged materials immediately.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Warehouse Lead position should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably within the construction industry. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
