About the Role

Hilton is seeking an Account Director Corporate & Bahrain to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to driving business growth and enhancing customer engagement across key accounts. The position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience to make a significant impact on revenue goals and market share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue goals, including building business and driving market share.
  • Retain and expand sales opportunities to generate substantial revenue growth through the sales team.
  • Personally manage a portfolio of key accounts to drive high-value business.
  • Support the management of key accounts and ensure alignment with broader sales strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales HWS KSA & Bahrain to align strategies and ensure cohesive execution.
  • Develop and implement sales plans within the team to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Strategize approaches to sales proposals and business development opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations based on an extensive understanding of stay and pace reports, local market, and industry trends.
  • Support and organize trade shows, roadshows, and other customer engagement events.
  • Attend Commercial Meetings and Management Exchanges as required to represent and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Monitor and maintain close relationships with hotels and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and responsiveness.
  • Develop relationships with key hotel management partners and other regional stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Hilton’s company policies and standards.

Leadership and Team Development

The Account Director will play a crucial role in fostering a high-performance sales culture within the team. This involves:

  • Coaching, developing, and recognizing team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Setting performance goals for the sales team, monitoring their progress, and providing regular feedback.
  • Demonstrating the highest standards of ethical behavior and absolute discretion with sensitive information.
  • Supporting the team with the Travel & Event budget for the department, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably in hospitality Sales.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing large or distributed teams.
  • Experience in the hotel, travel, and leisure industry.
  • Ability to create and develop highly motivated and performing sales teams.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans.
  • Experience in facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage others through influence and collaboration within a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to analyze data, create compelling business cases, and present findings with strategic and tactical recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Sensitivity and ability to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information, protect company assets, act with ethics and integrity, and adhere to the Company’s Code of Conduct and policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree.
  • Significant experience working in Saudi Arabia, with a deep understanding of regional business practices and cultural nuances.
  • Ability to think creatively and adapt quickly, continually challenging the status quo to identify opportunities for improvement and respond effectively to shifting market conditions.
  • Significant experience within progressive sales leadership at a multi-site, multi-branded, consumer-focused organization.
  • Experience with sizeable revenue diverse customers, and dynamic brands and channels.
  • Relevant sales experience could be a combination of business-to-business, business-to-consumer, or business-to-business-to-consumer.
  • Exposure to franchisee businesses.
