The Account Director Role

As an Account Director at Cognition, you will be responsible for sourcing, closing, and activating enterprise customers, while providing essential product feedback to the team. This role is crucial for Cognition’s revenue growth and the ongoing development of Devin. You will collaborate closely with the entire Cognition team, including engineering, product, and go-to-market functions, to accelerate the sales cycle. The position requires 5-10 years of experience, with a background in selling highly technical solutions to businesses and experience in software engineering, along with the drive to succeed in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue for Cognition, managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting through close and activation for early-stage to enterprise companies.
  • Navigate complex customer organizations, engaging directly with C-suite executives, Tech and AI leaders, procurement, and legal stakeholders.
  • Develop strategies for sourcing, demonstrating the product, and closing opportunities within layered buying organizations.
  • Deeply understand customers’ technical pain points and priorities, qualifying optimal use cases and teams for Devin deployment within large technology organizations.
  • Discover new use cases within customers’ Tech organizations and proactively share customer feedback with product and engineering teams.
  • Focus on results: generate pipeline, revenue, and contribute to building a leading technical sales organization to bring Devin to market.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record of success selling deeply technical products to enterprise customers.
  • Technical experience, either as a software engineer, sales engineer, or forward-deployed engineer. If not, an exceptional ability to learn and understand the complex technical problems and requirements customers aim to solve using Devin.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments, moving quickly and growing in scope and responsibility.
  • Demonstrated exceptional ability to learn.

Preferred Attributes

  • Previously founded a startup.
  • Successful track record in sourcing and closing large, complex enterprise software deals.
  • Background as a software engineer or sales engineer, or studied computer science, but transitioned into go-to-market roles to be closer to the customer.
  • A competitive, highly ambitious individual who thrives in high-intensity environments.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Cognition fosters a collaborative environment with a small, talent-dense team focused on building impactful AI solutions.
