Account Director Events and Experiential

About the Role

DISCOVERED is seeking an Account Director to join a prominent brand activation and experiential firm in Riyadh. This full-time role involves leading account growth and managing client relationships within the events and experiential sector. The position requires 5-10 years of experience.

Role Overview

As an Account Director, you will hold full commercial responsibility for expanding accounts, ensuring profitability, and building long-term relationships with key regional clients. You will oversee the end-to-end delivery of large-scale trade exhibitions, live events, and brand campaigns, while guiding a team of account and project management specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive annual revenue targets and maintain profit margins across assigned regional accounts.
• Act as the senior contact for key regional clients, commercial partners, and government entities.
• Lead the end-to-end execution of live events, trade exhibitions, conferences, and experiential brand activations.
• Collaborate with creative, production, technical, and operational teams to maintain high-quality delivery standards on site.
• Lead strategic account reviews, pitches, tenders, and commercial growth proposals for new and existing clients.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to account managers and project delivery teams.
• Manage budget control, variation orders, and overall account profitability alongside finance teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 8 to 10 years of experience within the UAE or GCC events, exhibitions, or experiential sectors.
• Proven background managing large-scale live events, corporate exhibitions, and government activations.
• Strong commercial background with direct experience managing project budgets, scope changes, and financial forecasts.
• Demonstrated success leading pitches, presenting to senior stakeholders, and expanding existing accounts.
• Solid operational background with a clear understanding of local venue rules, health and safety guidelines, and production workflows.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing agency account management or delivery teams.
• UAE driving license preferred.
