About the Account Manager Role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This is a full-time, onsite position primarily based at an HPE office. The role focuses on managing key customer accounts, understanding their business and IT objectives, and driving the adoption of HPE's edge-to-cloud solutions to achieve desired business outcomes.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing one or more significant accounts or a substantial portion of a top-tier account. This involves deeply understanding customer IT and business priorities, challenges, and requirements to effectively implement HPE's strategy. You will drive business performance across all HPE business units, manage the portfolio mix to optimize account profitability, and be accountable for pipeline building and deal closure, orchestrating the necessary deal teams.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within customer organizations.
  • Develop and engage with the partner ecosystem to maximize HPE's presence and impact within the account.
  • Continuously develop and apply knowledge of the IT industry and technology trends to position HPE's portfolio effectively.
  • Orchestrate, guide, and provide feedback to extended account team members, acting as the customer's advocate internally at HPE.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account business plans to deliver results throughout the financial year and beyond.
  • Articulate the connection between customer KPIs, business priorities, and HPE's IT solutions, influencing executive decision-making by demonstrating the value and relevance of HPE offerings.
  • Build and execute plans to drive growth and profitability across HPE's portfolio, positioning strategic value solutions and formulating technology choices that expand HPE's presence and margin.
  • Identify and translate customer business challenges into IT opportunities, ensuring a robust pipeline and leading pipeline building activities.
  • Develop and update expertise in IT technology, engaging with customer CTO/CIO and presenting relevant modern IT trends.
  • Lead and develop the extended account team, establishing governance and providing regular feedback.

Qualifications and Experience

This role requires a University or Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience. An engineering or technology education, with an advanced degree or MBA, is desired. Typically, candidates should possess 6-10 years of account management experience. Experience in the IT industry is preferred, as is experience working within an IT department or directly with customers. Experience in specific vertical industries and various sales roles is considered a plus.
