Arweqah Alreyadah is seeking an Accounting Team Lead to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves overseeing accounting operations and financial close activities across the group’s subsidiaries, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance.

Role Overview

The Accounting Team Lead is responsible for the supervision of the accounting team, managing the full accounting cycle, and ensuring timely statutory reporting. A key aspect of this role is strong ownership of zakat and tax compliance for the group's entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the accounting team, including workload allocation and ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.
• Oversee the complete accounting cycle, covering journal entries, accounts receivable and payable, revenue, expenses, fixed assets, provisions, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Manage monthly and year-end close activities, ensuring completion within seven business days or less.
• Review trial balances, key account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, customer and vendor balances, and intercompany accounts.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and official financial reports for subsidiaries and the group, and support external audit requirements.
• Manage the zakat and tax process within the accounting team, including VAT, withholding tax, and zakat filings, ensuring timely submissions and complete supporting documents.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, delegation of authority, internal controls, and documentation requirements.
• Improve the financial system's utilization, chart of accounts, and data quality, while contributing to accounting process automation initiatives.
• Coordinate with Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis to provide accurate actuals and approved financial data.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in accounting roles, with a proven track record in team leadership and financial operations.
