Calo is an application that provides personalized meal plans through nutritional algorithms, developed by chefs, nutritionists, and software engineers. Launched in Bahrain in 2019, Calo has expanded its operations to six countries, delivered millions of meals, and is now extending its mission of making healthy living accessible to retail and other sectors. The Calo Fellowship is a one-year, full-time program designed to offer early-career talent practical learning opportunities. This Fellowship prioritizes potential over prior experience, enabling participants to address real business problems and build meaningful projects alongside Calo team members. Fellows are granted ownership of their work from the outset.

The AI Automation Fellow – Quality Role

As an AI Automation Fellow – Quality, you will join Calo's AI & Automation Track, contributing to the future of quality management across the company. This role focuses on moving beyond manual processes to implement intelligent systems that facilitate faster issue identification, improve consistency, and elevate operational standards. You will collaborate with the Quality team to identify repetitive tasks, explore automation opportunities, and develop AI-powered solutions. A primary objective will be to assist in building a network of AI agents designed to monitor operations across Calo's kitchens, surface real-time insights, and allow teams to concentrate on problem-solving rather than problem detection.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify repetitive quality processes that can be enhanced through AI and automation.
• Design and build practical solutions to make operations more efficient, faster, and reliable.
• Develop dashboards, workflows, and AI-powered tools for the Quality team.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand operational challenges and convert them into scalable solutions.
• Experiment with new technologies, test ideas, and continuously improve developed solutions.
• Share progress, present work, and contribute to the evolution of Quality at Calo.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Recently graduated from high school or university.
• Possess limited or no professional experience but demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn.

Experience with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Python, Google Sheets, Notion, or automation platforms is considered beneficial but is not a mandatory requirement for this role.

Work Arrangement

This is a full-time fellowship position. While the primary location for this role is Riyadh, Calo offers flexibility for candidates based in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, or Oman to complete the Fellowship in a hybrid setup. Exceptional candidates from other international locations may also be considered for a remote work arrangement.
