Job Description

About the Role

Systems Limited is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on building and operating a shared AI platform infrastructure. This platform serves as the foundation for all AI practices within the organization, aiming to streamline deployment processes and prevent individual teams from duplicating efforts in infrastructure setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain shared AI platform infrastructure, including compute provisioning, networking, and IAM for AI workloads.
  • Manage internal tooling and templates used by practices for consistent model/agent deployment.
  • Standardize CI/CD pipelines for AI workloads across practices, including shared AI evaluation platforms.
  • Oversee platform-level cost governance and capacity planning across concurrent engagements.
  • Manage platform security posture in collaboration with AI Security Engineers.
  • Collaborate with MLOps/LLMOps Engineers on the interface between platform and workload-specific operations.
  • Balance competing infrastructure requests from multiple practice leads.
  • Document platform capabilities to enable practices to self-serve.
  • Forecast and justify platform spend to non-technical leadership.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 6–12+ years of platform/infrastructure engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years specifically supporting AI/ML workloads.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cloud infrastructure (IaC, Kubernetes, networking, IAM), including hosting vector/graph databases.
  • Experience in building internal developer platforms/tooling, beyond just running infrastructure.
  • Experience integrating and operating managed AI/agentic platforms such as Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, and Google Vertex AI. Experience with self-hosted open-source stacks is beneficial.

Key Skills

  • Familiarity with multi-tenant capacity planning and cost allocation.
  • Experience with platform-level security hardening.
  • Ability to manage cross-practice stakeholders and balance competing infrastructure requests.
  • Proficiency in cost/capacity planning, including forecasting and justifying platform spend to non-technical leadership.
  • Strong documentation skills to enable self-service for various practices.
  • A collaborative approach to building shared infrastructure without creating bottlenecks.

Performance Metrics

Success in this role will be measured by platform uptime/reliability, cost per workload versus budget, and practice self-service adoption rate.
