About the Role

UCC Holding is seeking a Senior Architect to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves overseeing and coordinating architectural activities for a major building construction project. The Senior Architect will ensure that all architectural works are executed in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, and established project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage architectural activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate architectural works with structural, MEP, interior design, and other project disciplines.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor architectural works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Review and coordinate material submittals, samples, mock-ups, and method statements.
• Ensure architectural finishes and materials meet the required project standards and specifications.
• Identify design conflicts, technical issues, and construction constraints, and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Support design development and ensure effective coordination between design and construction teams.
• Monitor progress of architectural works and coordinate with the project team to meet planned milestones.
• Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on architectural quality and workmanship.
• Ensure proper documentation, testing, inspection, and close-out of architectural works.
• Support project management in achieving project quality, schedule, and construction objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the architectural team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in architectural design and construction.
• Experience working with reputable main contractors on major construction projects.
• Mandatory experience in mega-scale building construction projects.
• Experience in 5-star hotels, luxury hospitality, high-rise buildings, mixed-use developments, or major landmark projects is highly preferred.
