The Role: Architectural Design Engineer

Qantara is seeking an Architectural Design Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position where the successful candidate will be responsible for developing architectural concepts, preparing detailed design drawings, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves managing the design process from concept development through to final handover construction documentation and supporting project execution, ensuring projects meet client requirements, applicable regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, schematic designs, and detailed design solutions for various projects.
• Prepare architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents using industry-standard software.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Review project requirements, client needs, and site conditions to develop effective design solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and client presentations.
• Conduct site visits to verify design implementation and resolve technical issues.
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules, design reports, and technical documentation.
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material specifications.
• Support project managers in achieving project objectives related to quality, budget, and schedule.
• Stay updated on industry trends, sustainable design practices, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 1 – 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional engineering certification is considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in English language skills is required.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a full-time basis. The Architectural Design Engineer will work within a collaborative team environment, coordinating with various engineering disciplines to deliver integrated project solutions.
