About the Area Operations Manager Role

Panda Retail Company is seeking an Area Operations Manager for E-Commerce Fulfillment Operations in Riyadh. This employee role is responsible for the direction and coordination of people and fulfillment operations across multiple stores within a designated area. The Area Operations Manager will ensure excellent customer service and drive continuous business improvement towards profitability.

Role Overview and Strategic Impact

As an area leader, this position oversees multiple fulfillment operations, focusing on delivering the best possible service to customers. The role is both strategic and operational, requiring the motivation and development of teams on the ground. It involves supporting the team with long-term strategy and fostering the sharing of best practices to enhance overall performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Overseeing inbound, outbound, and returns operations within designated fulfillment centers.
• Conducting training and monitoring talent spotting initiatives.
• Delivering audits, establishing fulfillment standards, creating centers of excellence, and implementing best practices.
• Building, optimizing, and assisting with the delivery routes for last-mile logistics.
• Communicating with and responding to customer inquiries from the Panda App.
• Troubleshooting operational problems and escalating issues as necessary.
• Developing performance goals and reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Communicating company policies to the team and ensuring compliance and consistency.
• Taking corrective action when needed and ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed for building security and product loss prevention.
• Leading the launch of various fulfillment operations according to strategic plans.
• Effectively planning for peak seasons to ensure adequate resource availability.
• Onboarding Last Mile/Freelancer providers according to Panda Fulfillment Operations standards, tracking and managing their performance, and escalating issues as required.
