Audio Visual ELV Presales Engineer

About the Role

Megatech Arabia is seeking an ELV Presales Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with strong technical and commercial experience in the design, estimation, pricing, and preparation of technical documentation for Extra-Low Voltage (ELV), security, ICT, and Lighting Control systems.

Role Overview

The ELV Presales Engineer will be responsible for independently developing system designs, preparing technical drawings, conducting quantity take-offs, preparing cost estimates and quotations, and compiling material submittals. All tasks must comply with project specifications, drawings, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop ELV systems, including CCTV, Access Control Systems, Public Address, ICT networks, passive components, lighting control, and other integrated systems.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, equipment pricing, vendor comparisons, and commercial quotations based on project requirements and specifications.
• Prepare and review system layouts, schematic diagrams, rack layouts, and other technical drawings using AutoCAD and relevant design tools.
• Prepare comprehensive material submittals, including technical datasheets, compliance statements, technical specifications, catalogues, and supporting documentation for consultant and client approval.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain technical information, quotations, compliance documents, and optimized solutions.
• Identify cost-effective alternatives and propose technically compliant solutions without compromising system performance or project requirements.
• Support the sales team in preparing technical and commercial proposals, responding to RFIs, attending technical meetings, and clarifying system requirements.
• Coordinate with project and execution teams to ensure the approved design, pricing assumptions, equipment selections, and technical submittals are properly handed over.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience as an ELV Presales Engineer.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required.
• Proficiency in system design, estimation, pricing, and technical documentation for ELV, security, ICT, and Lighting Control systems.
• Ability to prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD and other design tools.
• Strong understanding of project specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
