About the Role

CoorB specializes in building innovative and comprehensive solutions that enhance user experience, automate processes, and leverage advanced data analytics. CoorB is currently seeking to hire a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join its team in Riyadh. This role is pivotal in supporting, enhancing, migrating, and developing BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and analytical datasets across our current and target architectures. The BI Developer will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, performance, and security of our BI solutions.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Support and maintain existing BI platforms, including OBIEE, Cognos, Power BI, Cubes, and operational dashboards.
• Analyze existing report logic, including filters, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), calculations, joins, and security rules.
• Develop new dashboards and reports using the target BI platform.
• Rebuild or migrate legacy reports to the future BI environment.
• Create semantic models, calculated measures, KPIs, and reusable datasets.
• Validate migrated reports against existing reports to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Optimize dashboard performance, refresh schedules, and query efficiency.
• Implement row-level security, access controls, and report access based on business scope.
• Collaborate with ETL developers and data modelers to ensure data readiness for BI solutions.
• Support the decommissioning of reports once their migrated counterparts have been validated and approved.
• Interact with Data Engineers, Technical Data Leads, Business Analysts, ETL Developers, BI Developers, Platform Administrators, and Business Stakeholders.
• Assist in architecture transition activities by thoroughly understanding current state logic before migration, simplification, or decommissioning.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Strong and proven experience with Power BI and/or enterprise BI tools such as OBIEE, Cognos, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience in developing and working with semantic models, DAX, MDX, measures, KPIs, and calculated fields.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts including star schemas, facts, dimensions, aggregates, and reporting marts.
• Proven experience in report migration, reconciliation, and performance tuning of BI solutions.
• Knowledge of BI security principles and access control mechanisms.
