About the Company and the Role
PROVEN is seeking a Biomedical Sales Engineer to join the Sales & Engineering team of its client, a leading provider of integrated healthcare solutions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves delivering innovative medical technologies and services to hospitals and healthcare facilities across the Kingdom. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with consultative selling to drive business growth, develop lasting client relationships, and provide essential technical support throughout the sales lifecycle.
Core Responsibilities
The Biomedical Sales Engineer will be responsible for a range of activities encompassing sales strategy, technical support, and client relationship management. Key areas of focus include:
- Developing and executing sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.
- Providing technical sales support through product demonstrations and consultations.
- Managing client relationships and acting as a primary point of contact.
- Preparing technical proposals, commercial quotations, and tender documentation.
- Maintaining in-depth product knowledge and monitoring market trends.
- Ensuring all sales activities comply with company policies and healthcare regulations.
Sales and Business Development
This role requires a proactive approach to expanding the client base and achieving sales objectives. Specific duties include:
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within hospitals, healthcare facilities, consultants, contractors, and government sectors.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers.
- Promoting the company's portfolio of medical equipment and healthcare solutions.
- Preparing sales forecasts and business development plans for assigned territories.
- Coordinating with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to develop competitive pricing.
- Negotiating commercial terms and successfully closing sales opportunities.
- Ensuring timely submission and follow-up of quotations until project award.
Technical Support and Client Engagement
The Biomedical Sales Engineer will provide comprehensive technical and commercial support to clients, fostering long-term partnerships. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer consultations.
- Recommending suitable products and solutions based on customer requirements and project specifications.
- Collaborating with engineering and project teams to prepare technical proposals and submittals.
- Supporting tender submissions, project specifications, and prequalification processes.
- Providing technical support throughout project execution and the sales cycle.
- Conducting regular client visits and following up on quotations, tenders, and ongoing projects.
- Delivering timely commercial and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medical technologies, industry trends, and the company's product portfolio.
- Representing the company at exhibitions, conferences, and industry events.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming healthcare projects.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and preparing regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Ensuring all sales activities comply with company policies and applicable healthcare regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for this position should meet the following educational and professional experience criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of proven sales experience within the medical equipment or healthcare solutions industry.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience selling medical equipment, medical gas systems, and CSSD equipment is highly preferred.
- Experience working with hospitals, healthcare projects, consultants, contractors, and government tenders is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Attributes
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- A valid Saudi driving license is preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for business needs.
