BO Transmission Engineer

About the Role

Ericsson is seeking a BO Transmission Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position is focused on supporting the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of transmission and IP network infrastructure. The role involves providing second-line technical support, managing network configurations, resolving incidents, and collaborating with various teams to ensure network performance and service availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end second-line troubleshooting across IP and transmission networks, including routers, switches, MPLS environments, and transmission nodes.
• Manage incident, problem, and configuration activities to maintain network performance and stability.
• Support investigations into transmission-related outages and service degradation.
• Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade network devices and services.
• Conduct node acceptance, audits, and network health assessments.
• Collaborate with field, access, operations, and third-party teams to resolve complex issues.
• Follow up on transmission design-related matters and support implementation activities.
• Open and manage escalations with third-line support when required.
• Review and verify transmission-related network changes and activities.
• Participate in technical investigations, analysis sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience

Candidates should have 1-4 years of experience in a relevant field. This role is suitable for individuals looking to develop their expertise in transmission and IP network operations.

Work Environment

This position operates within a 24/5 shift environment. On-call support during weekends may be required as needed.
