About the Category Merchant Manager Role

Amazon is seeking a Category Merchant Manager (CMM) to join its Saudi Arabia Marketplace team. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, focuses on shaping the future of the Home and Electronics marketplace. The role involves owning substantial portions of the category's P&Ls and driving strategic projects across multiple teams.

Role Purpose and Strategic Impact

The CMM will take ownership of significant portions of the fast-growing Home and Electronics category P&Ls, driving both top-line growth and bottom-line efficiency. This position requires the architecting of strategic initiatives that redefine how third-party sellers engage with the marketplace, crafting incentive frameworks that align seller success with customer satisfaction. Influence will span across the organization, collaborating with Quality Assurance teams to ensure high standards and partnering with Supply Chain experts to optimize logistics for large home items and delicate electronics.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Home and Electronics Leadership on planning and business strategy.
• Drive a best-in-class shopping experience for customers in Home and Electronics categories.
• Maximize unit sales and Gross Merchandise Sales (GMS) growth through timely analysis and action.
• Optimize assortments across various home goods and electronics product lines.
• Develop strategies to enhance seasonal offerings and stay ahead of technological trends.
• Partner with Marketplace teams to identify and recruit strategic sellers in Home and Electronics.
• Expand category group selection offerings and develop frameworks to onboard small to mid-size brands.
• Create incentive structures to attract top-tier national and international brands to the platform.
• Innovate with sellers to drive optimal customer experience across the Home and Electronics 3P business.
• Ensure customer experience parity between 1P and 3P items in both categories.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to maintain high standards for electronics and home goods.
• Work with Supply Chain to optimize delivery experience for large home items and delicate electronics.
