Business Head

About the Role

Mindfield Resources is seeking an experienced Business Head to lead the catering division for an established food services and catering company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time leadership position is designed for an accomplished business leader with a proven background in contract catering, responsible for overseeing the catering business and driving its next phase of profitable growth.

Role Overview

As the Business Head, you will lead the complete catering business, with a primary focus on contract and institutional catering operations. Reporting directly to the Board, you will hold full ownership of strategic direction, commercial growth initiatives, service delivery standards, financial performance, and overall organizational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall business strategy, annual plans, and growth initiatives in alignment with Board objectives.
• Drive new catering contract acquisition, tendering processes, commercial negotiations, and strategic account development across corporate, government, and institutional clients.
• Oversee large-scale catering delivery, central kitchens, food production, multi-site operations, logistics, and customer service.
• Manage the full P&L, including budgets, forecasting, pricing strategies, food and labor costs, working capital, and sustainable margin improvement.
• Ensure strong contract execution, service-level performance, renewals, client retention, and measurable operational KPIs.
• Oversee procurement, supplier management, food safety protocols, HACCP / ISO 22000 compliance, and efficient distribution.
• Lead cross-functional teams, strengthen organizational capability, and provide regular strategic and performance reporting to the Board.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience, including at least 5 years in a senior business leadership position.
• Strong direct experience leading contract, industrial, or institutional catering businesses, beyond purely restaurant or hotel F&B operations.
• Proven ability to secure, price, negotiate, and grow major B2B catering contracts and strategic customer relationships.
• End-to-end accountability for catering operations, central kitchens, service delivery, and multi-site workforce management.
• Demonstrated full P&L ownership, financial planning, cost control, and profitability improvement.
• Ability to lead an entire food-service company, including complementary production and support functions, and report to a Board.
• Saudi Arabian market experience is strongly preferred; substantial GCC experience will also be considered.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring leadership of a large-scale catering operation with multi-site responsibilities and direct reporting to the company's Board.
