The Role of Chief Academic Director (CAO)

The Chief Academic Director (CAO) is a pivotal, full-time leadership role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, serving as the primary contact for students at IMMUNE Technology Institute. This position involves continuous communication with students and the commercial team to understand and enhance academic offerings. The CAO reports to the Institute General Manager and is responsible for developing all academic products as a member of the Executive Committee.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand educational needs and establish a network of knowledge using in-house and freelance resources.
• Evaluate the progression of student groups and supervise admission processes.
• Support the marketing and communication team in promoting the Institute nationally and internationally.
• Collaborate with diverse student types to cultivate a world-class learning experience.
• Plan, schedule, and evaluate academic activities in alignment with curricular objectives.
• Organize and recruit academic faculty by area, coordinating their efforts to achieve institutional goals.
• Ensure the quality of the educational process through ongoing support for professors and students.
• Develop and manage the student relationship strategy across all phases of the customer journey.
• Oversee the academic alignment and accreditation of all technology programs and bootcamps with local Saudi regulatory authorities, specifically the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), ensuring full compliance and program recognition.
• Develop strategies for IMMUNE's cross-departmental projects that impact the student community experience, including the job board, internships, and alumni community.
• Communicate IMMUNE's mission, vision, and values in all interactions with prospective students and corporate partners.
• Develop the organizational strategy for admissions, providing analysis and recommendations aligned with Institute goals.
• Create a comprehensive academic plan encompassing trend evaluation, key measurements, process and system definition, productivity and quality assurance, customer service, knowledge building, problem-solving, and change management.
• Promote the Institute nationwide through presentations to students, teachers, and parents at various venues.
• Develop and monitor statistical records to enhance student recruitment performance, yield management, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain a continuous flow of quality applicants by evaluating enrolment trends and marketing activities, and update sales strategies to ensure effective recruitment.
• Establish a system for welcoming prospective students to the IMMUNE campus via biannual open days.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Computer, Telecommunications, Physics, or Mathematical Engineering is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in information technology and/or education projects.
• At least 3 years of experience in a coordinating or project director role.
• Demonstrated experience as a teacher is valued.
• Experience as a speaker at congresses or talks is considered valuable.
• Experience in academia or consultancy, particularly with multinationals or educational organizations.
• Advantageous experience in benchmarking businesses, client service, or as an expert advisor.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking both Arabic and English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities across all seniority levels.
• Ability to identify opportunities to enhance existing products and improve their development to meet student needs.
• Proven ability to motivate others and foster strong teamwork.
• Strong organizational acumen and coordination skills.
• Capability to lead strategic development plans and improvements for new portfolio ideas, existing programs, processes, and products.
• Ability to operate effectively within a matrix organization.
• Fundamental understanding of computing/technology concepts, including programming experience.
• Fundamental understanding of at least five of the following technologies: Cybersecurity, Big Data, AI, Semantic Web, Machine Learning, Voice Technologies, Cloud platforms, IoT, Natural Language Processing, and Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with main open-source projects (*, Apache, Linux, MySQL).
• Solid understanding of Saudi Arabia's vocational education framework, including TVTC accreditation, licensing standards, and curriculum mapping requirements.
