CLINICAL ENGINEER I

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Clinical Engineer I to provide operational and technical support for medical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and analytical devices and systems. This full-time role involves supporting applied patient healthcare and healthcare research, with the incumbent serving as a designated technical specialist for assigned medical and research technology. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical support duties for assigned medical and research technology, including scheduled preventive maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Execute medical and research technology operational support duties, encompassing pre-acquisition analysis, site preparation, implementation, ongoing operational support analysis, and technology retirement.
• Train and guide Medical, Nursing, Clinical Engineer IIs, Clinical Engineering Technicians, SCDP participants, Student Interns, and other Clinical Engineering staff on the technical support of complex medical and research technology through informal on-the-job training or formal classroom settings.
• Act as a technical knowledge source for assigned medical and research technology.
• Ensure medical and research equipment meets all technical support requirements from vendors and adheres to relevant KFSHRC standards prior to purchase.
• Provide and/or coordinate medical equipment user education and instruction as needed.
• Maintain competency in the Clinical Engineering medical technology database and other related computer software programs.

Operational Duties and Compliance

• Participate in assigned Hospital committees.
• Adhere to all Hospital-related Policies and Procedures.
• Contribute to personal and team education, training, and development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Clinical Engineer I position should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating a strong understanding of medical and research technology support.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre. The role involves working within a clinical engineering department that supports a wide range of medical and research technologies.
