Commercial Associate Manager Fruit and Vegetables

About the Role

MAJID AL FUTTAIM is seeking a Commercial Associate Manager - Fruit and Vegetables to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on supporting sourcing, merchandising, and sales development activities within the assigned categories and stores.

Role Overview

The Associate Manager – Commercial will be responsible for demand forecasting, supplier management, visual merchandising execution, and inventory optimization. The role also involves enhancing commercial performance while ensuring consistent brand presentation and product availability across various locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the management of the Fruits & Vegetables category within a supermarket, hypermarket, or food retail environment.
• Drive category sales, margin growth, and product availability.
• Manage local and imported Fruits & Vegetables sourcing channels and supplier networks.
• Execute assortment planning, range reviews, promotional planning, and pricing strategies.
• Ensure merchandising standards, planograms, and category presentation are maintained.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Replenishment, Logistics, and Marketing.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other reporting and analytics tools for performance analysis.
• Identify market trends, customer preferences, and commercial opportunities to improve category performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, Food Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Commercial, Category Management, Buying, or Merchandising within Fresh Food, Fruits & Vegetables, FMCG, or Retail.
• Strong understanding of Fruits & Vegetables operations, seasonality, sourcing, pricing, and product quality standards.
• Experience in sales forecasting, inventory management, shrink control, and demand planning.

Required Skills

• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, stock, and profitability reports.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Supply Chain, and Supplier partners.
