Construction Engineer

About the Role

GRG is seeking a Construction Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting engineering tasks related to construction, re-imaging, and maintenance projects. The Construction Engineer ensures that all projects are completed efficiently, adhering to budget, timeline, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare technical requirements for soil tests and initiate purchase requisitions within the system.
• Generate site survey reports following engineering surveys of construction, based on the nature of development (Free Standing or Food Court).
• Assist in monitoring Construction function activities to support the organization's strategic goals.
• Oversee and ensure the completion of construction projects for stores and corporate offices according to desired specifications, and prepare snag lists for previously handed-over sites.
• Conduct and ensure timely testing of facilities after construction work, ensuring adherence to budget.
• Monitor and control the interior, exterior, and equipment installation processes by coordinating with various teams.
• Prepare, schedule, and conduct store closings, auditing and reporting results.
• Implement and communicate corporate standards to suppliers and contractors, reviewing regularly for compliance.
• Coordinate and follow up with consultants on the preparation of project drawings.
• Evaluate, assess, and provide feedback on the performance of contractors, suppliers, and service agents against agreed criteria.
• Assist the Divisional Head and Architect in estimating total costs for construction and re-imaging projects.
• Carry out cost analysis and maintain a comprehensive cost data bank for all assigned construction projects, accessible to departmental team members.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in construction engineering or a related field.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a large organizational setting. The role involves active participation in various construction and maintenance projects across different sites.
