About the Role

WSP is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join its PMCM team in Riyadh. This full-time role is integral to the delivery of a landmark development, requiring strong leadership in construction supervision activities and project execution within a consultant/PMC environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all site construction activities within the assigned project scope.
• Monitor contractor performance against approved schedules, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Drive construction progress and proactively resolve site issues affecting delivery.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors, authorities, and client representatives.
• Review and monitor construction methodologies, logistics plans, recovery plans, and sequencing strategies.
• Chair site progress meetings and provide accurate reporting on project performance.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor implementation of HSE requirements and project quality standards.
• Review contractor resource deployment and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
• Manage inspections, testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities.
• Support commercial and contract teams regarding claims and variations.

Role Expectations

The successful candidate will act as the Client's representative on site. This involves driving construction progress, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance across multiple work fronts, and ultimately ensuring successful project delivery in accordance with schedule and budget objectives.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should possess 5-10 years of experience in construction management. The role requires a strong background in leading construction supervision activities and contractor management, ideally gained within a consultant or Project Management Consultancy (PMC) environment.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, supporting a significant development project.
