About the Role

KONE is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Customer Solution Engineer (MP Tender) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to providing technical expertise to identify the most suitable KONE products for customer requirements, ensuring alignment with KONE's comprehensive solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing non-standard solutions and supporting the tendering process, ensuring all technical requirements are met by KONE's product offerings. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to projects within the Saudi Arabian market.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend customer meetings alongside the Sales team to clarify technical queries.
• Take overall responsibility for the customer's solution, encompassing integrations, solutions, services, and products.
• Define specifications, costs, and lead times in cooperation with other Front-Line parties, Supply Line, and Area and Global support functions.
• Identify optimal technical solutions to meet customer needs, particularly for non-standard requirements.
• Ensure clarity on the solution's scope, including KONE and potential third-party offerings.
• Select the correct product platform for proposals.
• Propose solutions from all KONE business lines, including new services, escalators, elevators, and doors.
• Prepare customer specifications into KONE's standard language and obtain corporate prices from SC.
• Ensure that proposed solutions fulfill local codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Participate in product and new services release information-sharing sessions.
• Provide input to product offering management regarding customization, standardization, and interface requirements for the portfolio.
• Contribute to and utilize the Customer Solutions Engineering virtual and local network and case library.
• Serve as the primary front-line technical contact person for Supply Line Tendering Engineers.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the elevator business or another relevant field.
• Understanding of different building types and customer segments.
• Good knowledge of environmental and sustainability requirements and norms.
• Good understanding of how a product's total cost is built up, along with local norms and regulations.

Required Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Strong negotiation and customer handling abilities.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
• Basic knowledge of competitors' products.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
