The Debt Advisory Team

The team comprises experienced ex-bankers and advisors with extensive expertise across the credit spectrum. They work with both seasoned borrowers and those new to debt markets, having executed transactions involving various borrowing instruments in both private and public capital markets. Advice ranges from optimizing capital structures and reviewing financing options to planning and execution, including identifying potential lenders and investors, presenting credit stories, and negotiating optimal terms for clients.

Role Overview

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Debt Advisory Associate to join its growing full-time team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is suitable for an ambitious professional with 4+ years of experience in an advisory or banking background. The Middle Eastern team is active across EMEA, serving global and regional private equity firms, multinational corporations, and family offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting Private Equity, Corporate, Infrastructure investors, and Family Office clients with funding acquisitions, refinancings, and recapitalizations.
• Reviewing refinancing options to support client growth strategies.
• Advising on optimal capital structures.
• Providing assistance with refinancing and amending existing debt facilities.
• Assisting borrowers in managing relationships with debt providers and raising new capital.
• Performing financial modeling, including analyzing business forecasts, scenario analysis, and covenant sensitivities.
