About the Role

AJEX is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is central to enhancing our current development environment, driving the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines. The role involves transforming our development team to embrace modern DevOps practices and requires 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive CI/CD pipelines for the organization.
• Design and develop scripts for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Adapt and operate effectively within an agile environment with evolving requirements.
• Participate actively in team design discussions.
• Contribute to the design and development of microservices connectivity.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams, ensuring adherence to established coding standards.
• Gather feedback from the user community and contribute consistently towards enhancing user experience.
• Write and review functional requirement documents, design documents, and system requirement specification documents.
• Develop high-quality mockups and prototypes.
• Enhance the automation process from initial design through to delivery.

Infrastructure and Cloud Operations

• Work within cloud environments, with a primary objective to run managed services and migrate applications to adopt IaS.
• Oversee, monitor, and manage Kubernetes clusters, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
• Manage various database systems including ELK stack, MongoDB, Redis, and RDBMS.
• Implement measures to reduce the cost of cloud infrastructure without compromising on performance or reliability.
• Monitor all cloud resources and applications to ensure their performance, availability, and security.

Operational Excellence and Collaboration

• Manage incidents effectively, from logging to resolution, and conduct post-incident reviews for continuous improvement.
• Ensure all systems and processes comply with security standards and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with other teams, such as development and QA, and provide training on DevOps tools and best practices.
• Maintain a commitment to continuous learning, staying current with emerging trends and technological changes.

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of professional experience in a DevOps or related engineering role. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of cloud environments, automation, CI/CD principles, and modern software development lifecycle practices. A commitment to continuous improvement, adherence to security standards, and effective teamwork are essential for success in this role.
