About the Role

Salt is seeking a Digital Channels Solution Architect for a contract position based in Riyadh. This role focuses on designing comprehensive, end-to-end solutions across various digital platforms, including web, mobile, and self-service channels. It is a hands-on architecture and solution design position, dedicated to producing implementation-ready designs and detailed documentation.

This is an individual contributor role, emphasizing pure architecture and solution design. It does not involve software development, coding responsibilities, or line management duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end digital channel architectures, encompassing frontend platforms, backend services, integrations, APIs, and cloud components.
• Translate business requirements into practical, scalable, and implementation-ready solution designs.
• Produce High-Level Designs, solution diagrams, interface contracts, and integration views.
• Ensure architectural alignment across frontend technologies, backend services, API layers, and cloud platforms.
• Design and review REST, SOAP, and event-driven integrations.
• Address non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, availability, and security.
• Review vendor solution designs and provide architectural guidance and feedback.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews to maintain standards and quality.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive architecture documentation.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical delivery teams.

Required Experience and Skills

• A minimum of 6–10 years of overall IT experience.
• At least 3–5 years of dedicated experience in solution design, application architecture, or solution architecture roles.
• Strong experience in designing solutions specifically for web and mobile digital channels.
• Good architectural understanding of both frontend and backend technologies.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, integrations, and service-based architectures.
• Experience with cloud-based digital platforms.
• Demonstrated strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within large or complex enterprise environments is considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Work Environment

This is a contract position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates as an individual contributor, focusing solely on architectural design and documentation within a consultancy client environment.
