Director of Finance

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Director of Finance for The Ritz-Carlton Diriyah, Riyadh. This full-time role, located in Riyadh and Ad Dir'iyah, involves serving as the property’s strategic financial business leader and a key advisor to the General Manager and ownership group. The Director of Finance will oversee all financial and accounting functions, ensuring strong financial performance while upholding brand standards.

Role Responsibilities

This position is responsible for shaping business strategy, identifying growth opportunities, driving profitability, and ensuring sound governance across operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the development and execution of the hotel’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with property, ownership, and brand objectives.
• Driving budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and business analysis to maximize profitability and return on investment.
• Providing strategic guidance to the General Manager and Executive Committee on financial opportunities, risks, and performance trends.
• Overseeing all accounting, reporting, audit, compliance, tax, and control processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and integrity.
• Managing working capital, cash flow, and financial resources in line with owner expectations and Marriott standards.
• Identifying and implementing cost optimization initiatives while maintaining The Ritz-Carlton's luxury service standards.
• Developing, mentoring, and inspiring a high-performing finance team through coaching, succession planning, and professional development.
• Building relationships with ownership representatives, corporate stakeholders, and operational leaders to support informed decision-making and long-term growth.

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute finance leader who combines analytical excellence with strong business partnership skills. Required qualifications include:

• Proven experience in finance leadership within luxury hospitality, hotels, resorts, or complex service-driven environments.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial data into business insights and operational actions.
• Strong commercial acumen, including expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, asset management, and profitability enhancement.
• The ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders, ownership groups, and cross-functional teams.
• A leadership style that encourages accountability, development, transparency, and high performance.
• An appreciation for luxury hospitality and an understanding of how financial strategy supports guest experiences.
