About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for managing project documentation within the consultancy sector, focusing on site supervision for infrastructure projects.

Role Context

WSP is a consultancy firm specializing in site supervision for road, tunnel, highway, and bridge projects. The Document Controller will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate management of all project-related documentation, supporting project teams and maintaining compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the creation, review, distribution, and archiving of project documents including reports, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate version control to ensure all stakeholders access the most current information.
  • Establish and maintain efficient systems for document retrieval, ensuring prompt access for authorized personnel.
  • Implement quality control measures to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all documents.
  • Ensure document management processes adhere to relevant regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Provide training and support to staff on document management procedures and software systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and administrative staff, to streamline document-related workflows.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive documents through appropriate access controls and security measures.
  • Conduct regular audits of document management processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance document management processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in document control roles within the consultancy sector.
  • Specific experience in site supervision for infrastructure projects such as roads, tunnels, bridges, and highways is required.
  • Proven experience in a dedicated document control or records management role.
  • Proficiency in document management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Saudi national.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to document management, such as ISO standards, is considered a plus.
  • Certification in document management (*, Certified Document Controller) is desirable.
