About the Role

House of Consulting Office (HCO) is seeking a qualified Electrical Inspector to join its team in Riyadh. HCO is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm operating in Saudi Arabia, providing comprehensive architectural, engineering, planning, and consultancy services across various project lifecycles and sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, retail, and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Inspector will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical works on site. This includes:

  • Inspecting and supervising electrical installations, covering power distribution, lighting, low current systems, and grounding.
  • Verifying that all electrical installations adhere to approved drawings, project specifications, and relevant industry standards.
  • Conducting necessary inspections, testing, and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
  • Confirming that all materials and equipment delivered to the site meet the project's requirements.
  • Monitoring contractor performance to ensure high standards of workmanship.
  • Ensuring adherence to local regulations, electrical codes, and safety standards.
  • Preparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining accurate project records.
  • Identifying non-conformance issues and coordinating the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with project engineers, consultants, and contractors on technical matters.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical inspection and construction supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale construction projects.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Successful candidates will have:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low current systems and associated testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with Saudi electrical codes and relevant industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with inspection reporting systems.
