About the Role

Solaiman A. ElKhereiji (SAK) Engineering Consultant is seeking an ELV Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. The ELV Engineer will be responsible for the review, coordination, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems across a significant heritage project. As a discipline specialist, this role ensures all ELV systems meet project specifications, client requirements, industry standards, and operational needs, while coordinating with various project stakeholders.

Project Context

This role is integral to a prestigious heritage project in Riyadh, which is a key initiative under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and targets Gold LEED certification. The development includes the construction of a public realm around mixed-use buildings, academies, a traditional Najdi-style local mosque, a digital art museum, and a unique mud-brick cinema with underground parking. The ELV Engineer will contribute to ensuring the project meets the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and design integrity across assets such as commercial offices, residential towers, retail spaces, conference facilities, entertainment venues, public areas, and smart building environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review ELV system shop drawings, materials, and other submittals to ensure compliance with design intent and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate ELV requirements (CCTV, access control, fire alarm, BMS, structured cabling, PA/VA, intercom) with architects, interior designers, MEP, ICT, and AV disciplines.
  • Coordinate ELV installations with overall construction schedules and interface with consultants, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
  • Resolve site coordination issues and clashes, identifying installation errors or equipment deficiencies.
  • Issue site instructions or snag lists and verify contractor rectification works.
  • Monitor ELV contractor installation activities, conducting inspections and quality audits.
  • Review Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals and as-built documentation.
  • Support project handover and warranty activities, participating in project closeout documentation and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with project quality standards and enforce safety regulations throughout the construction process.
  • Provide guidance and support to engineering teams and junior engineers.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure compliance with the design.
  • Coordinate with the Client, Project Management Consultant (PMC), contractors, other construction professionals, and the design team.
  • Identify and resolve any construction issues or discrepancies that arise during the project.
  • Provide regular progress reports to project managers and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in construction supervision or project management.
  • Proven experience in the design, implementation, and management of ELV systems for Residential, Hospitality, and Museums projects, preferably in the Middle East region.
  • Certifications from industry authorities such as BICSI (*, RCDD) or NICET are desired.
  • Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership.
  • Excellent understanding of local and international codes, guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to ELV systems.
  • Strong understanding of ELV systems principles and construction practices.
  • Experience with construction supervision, including reviewing shop drawings, conducting site visits, and resolving issues.
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience in BIM and Navisworks is an advantage.

The ELV Engineer will work closely with the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) team, which comprises over 80 site professionals. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a strategic leader with the expertise to execute a vision, manage resources, and deliver outstanding results within set timelines and budgets.
