About the Engineering Supervisor Role

Boutique Group is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and is responsible for the operation, control, maintenance, and repair of all systems, programs, equipment, and assets within The Red Palace. The supervisor ensures optimum operating efficiency at all times, adhering to Boutique Group standards.

The Red Palace Environment

The Red Palace, a historic landmark originally built in 1943, has been reimagined as an ultra-luxury boutique hotel in Riyadh. It offers a unique blend of timeless elegance and contemporary sophistication, featuring meticulously restored architecture and unparalleled service. This role operates within an environment dedicated to refined hospitality, honoring the Palace's legacy while delivering a modern luxury experience.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate, control, maintain, and repair all Palace systems, equipment, and assets, ensuring optimal efficiency.
• Execute preventive and routine maintenance in compliance with established programs and guidance.
• Prioritize and ensure prompt resolution of all breakdowns, setting up contingency plans for potential issues.
• Manage and respond to guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes, ensuring high-quality service.
• Oversee all supervised works by staff or third parties, ensuring competent execution.
• Maintain high confidentiality and report all potential and real hazards immediately.
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of plant rooms, workshops, and related areas.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned by the Chief Engineer / DOE.

Technical Operations and System Management

• Run, operate, control, and document engineering systems and plants using designated software (*, Transcendent, BMS, Auto-Flame).
• Manage energy consumption, implement recommendations, and maintain records for optimal property energy performance.
• Oversee storing management, stock movements, and inventory control to ensure full operational support.
• Responsible for all reporting systems, processes, and engineering digitalization and archives.
• Conduct continual spot checks and inspections to ensure full implementation of operations and maintenance processes.
• Ensure validity and timely updates of certificates, annual maintenance contracts, warranties, and licenses.
• Test and analyze all water systems (pools, spas, potable water, etc.) according to international safety and quality programs.

Team Leadership, Compliance, and Brand Standards

• Support staff training, ensuring familiarity with emergency equipment and procedures, and conducting regular technical/skills training.
• Contribute to strategies for maximizing revenue, profitability, cost control, and utility consumption savings without compromising asset conditions or safety.
• Ensure strict compliance with all applicable health, safety, and regulatory standards, including chemical handling and emergency procedures.
• Promote a high level of interaction with other departments and maintain professional conduct and appearance.
• Uphold the Palace’s reputation for quality service by providing ultra-luxury service quality and anticipating guest needs.
• Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, and cleanliness of work areas.

Reporting Structure and Experience

The Engineering Supervisor reports directly to the Chief Engineer / Director of Engineering (DOE) or their deputies. The role involves close interaction and cooperation with colleagues within the Engineering Department, Palace guests, and external contractors as directed. Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a similar engineering supervisory capacity, preferably within a luxury hospitality environment.
