Estimator / Tendering Engineer

About the Role

Al Rugaib Holding Company is seeking an Estimator / Tendering Engineer to join its contracting and construction team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions for new building projects.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to support the company’s business growth by ensuring all tender submissions are precise, competitive, and aligned with project requirements. The Estimator / Tendering Engineer will play a critical part in the pre-construction phase, contributing to successful project acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify potential risks and necessary clarifications.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and develop unit rate build-ups for Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in tender submissions.
• Solicit, compare, and analyze quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, pricing summaries, and final tender submissions.
• Propose value-engineering alternatives when appropriate to optimize project costs and efficiency.
• Maintain and update a cost database with current rates and recent prices.
• Support the seamless handover of awarded projects to the execution team.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in estimating and tendering within the contracting and construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates.
• Proficiency in analyzing tender documents, drawings, and specifications.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful tender submissions and project handovers.
