Role Overview

W Hotels is seeking an Event Services Talent Coach (Supervisor Banquet) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to maintaining the operational excellence and high standards of banquet events. The role involves a blend of hands-on operational duties and supervisory responsibilities, with a primary focus on effective team coordination, ensuring guest satisfaction, and upholding company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote staff collaboration and teamwork within the event services team.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies to maintain professional standards.
• Communicate effectively with guests, employees, and other departments to proactively meet guest needs.
• Manage and fulfill special banquet event arrangements as required.
• Oversee the setup of banquet areas and rooms, ensuring cleanliness, proper arrangement of furniture, and equipment functionality.
• Inspect and maintain table set-ups for cleanliness, neatness, and adherence to group requirements and company standards, resolving any issues promptly.
• Document pertinent operational information in the designated department logbook.
• Assist management with various human resources functions, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Cultivate positive working relationships and actively support team goals.
• Ensure compliance with all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, uphold the confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, including answering telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Ensure consistent adherence to quality expectations and service standards.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity.

Physical Demands

The role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks to effectively manage event operations. Candidates must be able to:

• Read and visually verify information presented in diverse formats, including small print.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or throughout an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as ascend and descend stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping motions.
• Perform any other reasonable job duties as requested by management.
