About the Role

Systems Limited is seeking a Field CTO to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves providing technical feasibility input during the pursuit phase, validating designs pre-sale, and owning the end-to-end solution design and short Proof of Concept (PoC) build before handing off to the delivery team. The position requires over 10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AI presales and solutioning efforts.
• Embed in live pursuits to validate technical feasibility before scope finalization.
• Own the end-to-end design of PoCs/PoVs, including architecture, data, and integration approach, ensuring they are scoped to prove the value hypothesis.
• Solution, build, and ship PoCs/PoVs independently or with a small team, aligning with sales cycle timelines.
• Assess technical architecture and compliance risks (security, data residency, integration complexity) during pursuits.
• Engage SPOKE specialists (Solution Architect, Data Scientist, MLOps Engineer) only when deeper technical proof is required.
• Manage structured technical handover to Delivery, including blueprints, risk logs, and technical narratives.
• Serve as the senior technical voice in client-facing oral presentations and technical defense sessions.
• Represent delivery feasibility and implementation methodology to client technical stakeholders during pursuits.
• Partner with the AI Deployment Strategist to ensure technical scope realism against timelines and budgets.
• Coach and calibrate junior technical staff embedded in pursuits.
• Support multiple concurrent pursuits when Hub capacity is extended.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 15–20 years of hands-on engineering/architecture experience with real production shipping, beyond just PoCs.
• Full-stack proficiency across data, model, integration, and agentic stacks, with the ability to build across layers independently.
• Deep familiarity with major cloud AI/agentic platforms such as Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock (including Strands Agents), and Google Vertex AI.
• Proficiency in open-source frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of technical compliance considerations for enterprise AI, including security architecture, data residency, and integration risk.
• Deep understanding of delivery/implementation methodology, specifically how a PoC path transitions to a production rollout.
• Ability to defend designs under technical challenge from client engineers or architects.
• Comfortable in customer-facing roles under sales-cycle time pressure.
• Demonstrated executive and technical presentation skills, including leading client orals and hands-on technical demonstrations.
• Prior experience in forward-deployed, startup, or embedded-consulting environments is a strong advantage.
• Proven coaching presence for junior technical staff on live pursuits.
• Resilience to manage multiple concurrent high-stakes pursuits without compromising quality.

Performance Metrics

Success in this role will be measured by PoC/PoV cycle time to client sign-off, technical win rate on pursuits led, and handover quality, as reported by delivery teams regarding scope accuracy versus as-built solutions.
