About the Role
SAP is seeking a Finance Presales Senior Solution Advisor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is a key part of the Presales Solution Advisory organization, focused on understanding customer business needs and aligning them with SAP's cloud solutions. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to shaping the future of commerce across over 20 industries.
Role Context and Responsibilities
As a Senior Solution Advisor, you will be an integral member of the presales team in the Middle East North region. Your primary focus will be on understanding customer challenges within finance and risk management and demonstrating how SAP's portfolio can drive their success. This involves actively listening to clients, articulating the sales message for SAP and partner software solutions, and differentiating SAP's offerings.
- Compose and deliver sales presentations for SAP and partner software solutions to prospective customers.
- Prepare and deliver value-based software demonstrations and presentations, tailoring materials for customer engagement.
- Conduct discovery sessions to understand prospective customers' unique business needs.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of SAP solutions and relevant industries, providing proof points with customer stories.
- Support RFI and RFP completion for customer proposals.
- Effectively present to customers using virtual technologies such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Provide limited post-sale support to key customers, assisting the project/implementation team.
- Lead as a Solution Captain for complex deals involving multiple Lines of Business (LOBs).
- Leverage support teams, including Global/Regional Solution Specialists, Center of Excellence, and Product Management, to ensure solution advisory success.
- Support sales and marketing events, both on-site and virtually.
- Lead and support Design Thinking workshops to promote innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify whitespace opportunities.
- Develop relationships with market unit sales teams to promote effective sales methodologies.
- Participate in demo scenario design, planning, and configuration assistance.
- Participate in new product release input and testing, and provide training to peers.
- Serve as a champion or leader in Line of Business or Solution Hubs, facilitating knowledge transfer.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance and SAP solutions. Experience in sales processes and customer-facing roles is essential for success in this position.
- 5+ years of experience in SAP Finance implementation or a relevant Finance/Accounting role.
- Experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Finance Operations, Financial Planning & Analytics, Accounting & Financial Close, Treasury & Working Capital Management, Enterprise Risk and Management.
- Demonstrated experience in 5-7 successful engagements implementing Financial Solutions.
- Experience in sales and sales processes.
- Bachelor's degree equivalent is the minimum requirement; Master's degree equivalent, particularly an MBA, is preferred.
- Certification in SAP finance-related solutions is highly recommended.
Required Skills and Expertise
A combination of technical, functional, and soft skills is necessary to excel in this role. Proficiency in both English and a local business language is required.
- Expertise in Finance Operations, Financial Planning & Analytics, Accounting & Financial Close, Treasury & Working Capital Management, and Enterprise Risk and Management.
- Knowledge of SAP Finance and SAP Cloud applications and technologies.
- Skills in Design Thinking, Sales Presentations, Solution Demonstrations, and Discovery Sessions.
- Proficiency in RFI & RFP Completion and Virtual Presentation.
- Experience with SAP Finance implementation and Finance/Accounting roles.
- Understanding of cloud implementation best practices.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in English.
- Expert level in a business local language.
Additional Information and Preferences
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. While 5-10 years of experience is generally sought, 3-5 years of presales experience is preferred. Additional value would be derived from specific industry or functional expertise.
