Financial Accountant

About the Role

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Financial Accountant to join the Finance team at Holiday Inn Riyadh. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and requires 2-5 years of experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining accounting records, and supporting the hotel's financial operations in accordance with IHG standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and General Ledger transactions.
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with IHG financial policies and local statutory requirements.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and internal controls.
• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by the Director of Finance & Business Support.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and General Ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.

Work Environment

This role is a full-time position within the Finance team at Holiday Inn Riyadh, part of InterContinental Hotels Group. The position is based in Riyadh.
