About the Opportunity

VHR Global Technical Recruitment is seeking a Flight Safety Manager for a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to leading and enhancing safety performance across P121 operations within the organization.

Role Purpose

Reporting directly to the Director of Safety, the Flight Safety Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS). This position drives key risk management initiatives, conducts essential audits and investigations, and actively promotes a robust, proactive safety culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Conduct safety audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Oversee safety reporting, corrective actions, and risk mitigation programmes.
• Monitor SMS performance and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
• Support safety case development and regulatory compliance activities.
• Collaborate with operational departments to identify and reduce safety risks.
• Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the aviation industry.
• At least 3 years in a management role.
• Minimum of 3 years of aviation safety experience in similar operations.
• Strong knowledge of aviation risk management and SMS principles.
• Familiarity with GACARs and international aviation regulations (FAA/EASA).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and aviation-related IT systems.

Preferred Attributes

• Previous experience in helicopter SAR/EMS operations.
• Project management experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence safety performance.
