About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a Maintenance Foreman to lead a dedicated team in Riyadh. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and facilities through effective maintenance strategies. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Job Purpose

The Maintenance Foreman is responsible for leading the maintenance team to ensure the efficient operation of machinery and facilities. This includes overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, managing inventory, and minimizing downtime. The role involves collaboration with other departments to support production goals and enhance equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate the maintenance team (technicians, electricians, mechanics) to ensure timely task completion.
• Assign daily tasks and provide training on maintenance procedures, safety, and equipment handling.
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and improve equipment longevity.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Oversee the maintenance of production equipment (furnaces, mills, presses, etc.) and factory infrastructure (utilities, HVAC, electrical systems).
• Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring essential components are stocked and ordering replacements as needed.
• Track equipment performance and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Prepare reports for upper management, highlighting tasks, downtime, costs, and recurring issues.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and implement equipment upgrades.

• Train subordinates and build an effective team.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates.
• Delegate assignments effectively and ensure fair task distribution.
• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within cost and time constraints.
• Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.
• Resolve operational problems and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Ensure quality requirements are met and develop effective quality control processes.
• Coordinate well-defined systems, policies, procedures, and identify automation opportunities.
• Comply with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a maintenance leadership or foreman role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a technical team.
• Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance principles.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic industrial setting focused on maintaining critical infrastructure and production equipment.
